make sure that you get a fabric that will wear well for the use you'll need.
Commercial grade fabrics are usually rated at 100,000 to 250,000 double-rubs. Residential are usually between 25,000 to 60,0000 double-rubs. We recommend that you get a fabric with a least 25000 double rubs for your family room furniture. That way you'll get great wear and cleaning .
Fabrics with less then 25,000 can pill and stretch and look worn in a short time. Fabrics that you'll find at the outlet store don't always have the high double rubs you need .
If your upholstery fabric is between 8,000 to 10,000 double rubs, it is designed for light use and will not sustain everyday wear and tear.
