When Sunbrella is not Sunbrella

  

When just did a set of patio cushions from some patio furniture that had been purchased  at one of the 

big box stores. The tag on the cushions showed that it was a Sunbrella  fabric , one that I had never seen 

before. The cushions were only 2 years old and the fabric was faded and tearing . The Sunbrella fabric 

rep happen to come in when we were working on the project and I ask her to look at the old cushions 

to tell me what Sunbrella pattern it was. She said that she had never seen it and that in fact it wasn't a Sunbrella at all.  It may be a counterfeit product from China being passed off as a Sunbrella .

So what we see isn't always what you get. A lot of the cushions sold in the box stores are made from 

poor quality materials that may last a year and then is faded or torn. To avoid buying cheap cushions 

every year or two , get your cushions made with real Sunbrella , I have cushions that are 10 or more 

years old and still look great. You can never go wrong with quality.
